It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Hospital and Home Tuition Service (HHTS) in Wandsworth. HHTS is a Medical Pupil Referral Unit that provides education for a diverse range of students aged 5-18 who are experiencing a severe or chronic illness, have mental health issues, or are pregnant/young parents.
Our students have the opportunity to make accelerated progress through personalised learning programmes delivered by exceptional practitioners in small groups or in one to one tuition. Staff and students build positive nurturing relationships enabling students to grow in confidence, self-acceptance and compassion for all. Our approach is underpinned by our UNICEF Right Respecting values based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and focused on developing every child’s uniqueness, wellbeing and potential.
We provide a full and varied curriculum that ensures high standards of academic challenge and achievement while offering breadth of opportunity. Our curriculums are enhanced by inspiring experiences from a wealth of cultural partners. This dual approach offers both depth and breadth; enabling our students to keep up with or exceed their peers academically, whilst developing new skills and interests and an understanding of the positive difference they can make to the world.
Across each provision, close links with medical professionals and members of the multidisciplinary teams, home school staff, CAMHS and other stakeholders enable students to thrive. I hope that this website will help you find out more about our unique and engaging service.
