‘Wow, where to begin. I wanted to write to you to demonstrate how much of a positive impact you have had on me……you have restored my faith in teachers everywhere…the CAMHS Campus School was definitely the highlight of Springfield for me as is the case for so many others’

We pride ourselves on being a holistic, responsive therapeutic provision.
This is our baseline standard: that our staff restore young people’s faith in ‘teachers’ and that our school helps to restore their faith in learning and their belief in themselves.
Our teachers prioritise building relationship through listening, welcoming, accepting and celebrating the uniqueness of every individual. These trusting relationships are one of the reasons why we are the first hospital school in the country to gain a Silver RRSA award from UNICEF.
Building trusting relationships comes before effective teaching, they are the foundations of pupil success.
From trusting relationships, we can then build aspects of a therapeutic community. To do this we aim to:
- Create a welcoming and calm environment
- Offer a mindful and reflective approach
- Design outward facing enriched curriculums
- Offer personalised programmes of study,
- Enable pupil led flexible timetables,
- Foster inspirational, motivational thought
- Build trusting relationships
- commit to each child
- removing barriers to education
- celebrating achievement
